Lazy River
Like a thorough bread horse arching its neck in dying light
Letting its mane grow long and flow into the night
Time is still but deep and runs its current through my heart
The lazy river flows to oceans in the dark

Through my window blinds the sunlight seems to slowly fall
As my candle burns I see my shadow dancing on the wall
Though I know not where to go I’ll follow so close behind
Give it one more try as I weave myself into another life

In a thronging cavalry, filled with passion and forget
Writing twisted dreams held firm until the end
Unsurpassed in beauty she holy Helen came and went
Only thoughts of loveless passion did she spend

Now I go with her and sacrifice my only child
In perverted paraphrase I worship shadows in the night
Though I know not where to go I’ll follow so close behind
Walk into the light as I weave myself into another life
