Friction within my thoughts makes way for the flames
Burning up my self-control (and I'm alone)
On my own in eternal struggle with the darkness inside

As I recoil from the turmoil within
I feel the earth collapse around me, everyone is staring, wondering why
There is a difference between what you see and who I am
Constant suppression leaves me paralyzed

I must learn to harness this disease
And if I'm playing with fire
It is my burden to decide what transpires
