Not in the Room (Spooky)
In physics, “action at a distance” is the concept
That an object can be moved, changed, or affected
Without being touched
Without physically being touched
Einstein didn’t like it, called the whole idea “spooky”
I’m not kidding, you can quote him, he called it “Spooky”
Like I sit at this table and you’re god knows where
I’m not being touched
But I’m still being touched
You’re not In the room
You’re not even in the room
I read last week scientists tested the theory
They sent these two particles
To two remote locations
And you know what they found?
Do you know what they found?
It's called "Entanglement" these separated things were connected
They somehow were moved, changed, and affected
Like when I open my mouth
And you make a sound
You’re not in the room
You’re not even in the room
Every instant I’m with you or not I still feel you
Faster than phone calls or or bullshit or light
And I try to think that you don’t affect me
But Einstein was wrong
And I wish he was right
You left one sock at my apartment
And I had this weird feeling
Like the one back at your place, still felt it’s presence
And who the hell am I to argue with science…
There was plenty of action and I kept my distance
But now I’ve been moved, changed and affected
I’m not being touched
But I’m being touched
You’re not in the room
You’re not in the room
You’re not in the room
You’re not even in the room
So how are you here?
How are you here?
Spooky…
