Vitali
Elegy
I've seen him wish in rain; I've seen him say hello
A thousand times, I've seen him smile, I've seen him go
I've sensed he wished me there, I was his dream exposed
And when he wanted me, in time I froze and chose

To be where I can taste his tears and Death displeased
And far from this, and far from dreams deceased
I pieced myself again through him, I did not care
And our kiss ensnared, while my new demons stared

And before my mind got dark
My heart got loud
I've sensed he dreamt of love
And how it would sound
A thousand times
I watched him leave, he saw me cry
I saw him in the dark when he kissed me goodnight

I sang our story, while I was all alone
I fall when words get out my wretched soul
Beneath the skies, I stargazed memories
I sang of love and how it made me feel at ease

I've held my place, held it high and low
And now my elegy has been foretold
A thousand times, I've seen him leave, I've seen him cry
I've seen him wish in rain; I've seen him say goodbye
