A Few Good Dreams
I remember outlines
I can’t remember days
Indefinite and Ill defined
But still beside the haze
The clearest sky
Before the storm
Was overcast eventually
With spirits high
An no remorse
You told yourself it’s meant to be
I’ve been
Drifting alone through a time when
Life was as simple as silence
Dissonant symphonies
Grew in intensity
Ruined the reverie
I had a few good dreams
Of what we used to be
Disabuse this scene
I’m afraid
I’ll awake
I remember laughter
I can’t remember why
Illegible and imprecise
A hymn inside your mind
The calmest seas
Before the storm
Were tidal waves eventually
With honesty
And no remorse
You told yourself it’s meant to be
A few good dreams
Idealizations we used to see
Hiding away so elusively
I couldn’t take it this time
Lost in a daze and I’m comatose
Breath in the haze and I overdose
Seas elevate and they overflow
I couldn’t make it this time
I’ve been out for days and
I’m afraid that
Tides amount to waves and
Hurricanes I
Siphon out the pain and
Lie awake
Don’t die away
