Bad Cop/Bad Cop
Sing with Me
I will write such a simple song
That you can’t help but sing along
And little children can learn to play and announce
Hear me, I am here
See me, I am queer, just like the rest of us
And own it like, the best of us
And this song will lead to many more
A porch light on outside the door
Through which all the power
Of creative expression is yours
A means to connect
An outlet for complex and confusing emotions
Or volcanic explosions of joy
So, sing with me
Or sing your own song
I don’t mind, just as long as you find
A voice, to communicate
To uplift and save us all
A little piece of this life
That no one can take from you
Even though sometimes that’s all they wanna do
But they can’t, no matter how hard they may try
