When I was born in '87 almost died
But Through a praying church, came back alive
Get to know God? I didn't want to try
I always did believe but didn't know why
I used to fall asleep every Sunday during mass
I didn't understand Bible even in the class
Truth be told I was focused on some other things
Like how could my life be worth anything
I was suicidal, cut myself, takin' pills
That wasn't necessary cuz' I wasn't feelin' ill
Well that's a lie cuz' really I was sick in the spirit
But I thought God was too busy in heaven to hear it
But he heard me and he reached out
Now he's in me, I've been cleaned out
Used to be the saddest kid you never understood
Now I'm standing here and I can tell you that my God is good
