Here comes the rain.
A storm brewed up on the right side of my brain
Voices in my head were driving me insane
I wanted nothing else but to make it go away
I just wanted to get rid of the pain
Who knew life could be so difficult?
Can anyone hear me screaming in the dark?
I just wanted to feel happy again
I just wanted to feel it from my heart
But here comes the rain
Sure feels better than ever
I knew there'd come a day
Where I'd become one with the weather
And hope hit my cracked lips
I never thought I'd want this to stay
But here comes the rain
Took what was old and replaced it with something new
Knew what I wasn't but couldn't figure out who
My brain tried to tell me I was okay
But the happiness it was feeding me was fake
Skies stretched on overhead, nothing but blue
They'd tell me to love the sun, "it's good for you."
But I'm learning that heat is not my thing
And it's okay if you're not okay
