Ashville/Farm Remedy
I found a remedy
Like somebody sent to me
A sweet old anodyne
I'd been trying to find
Watching the gypsy moths
Foolin' on the hot sidewalk
The way they jump and lark
Makes lighter my heart
In the morning time
Leaving the night behind
Picking our bodies up
To jump in the pond
How tall the grass grows
How far the wind blows
How does the fish know
When he's on the line?
A group of girls came there
Auburn and golden hair
Dressed in their underwear
They jumped in the pond
I found a remedy
Like somebody sent to me
A sweet old anodyne
I'd been trying to find
