How to write the perfect diss track
1. Have a catching intro: Words that can cut deep before the song has even started
2.Have good roasts: insults that a fifth grader would make won’t due. You gotta cut deep while still making it not be a total bloodbath
3. Keep it musical: Try to rhyme if you can. And if you can’t at least try to keep it in rhythm.
4. Have a good instrumental: If you don’t have a good beat for the track, it’s not going to be as catchy and it won’t sound nearly as good
5.Make it the perfect amount of time: One minute is too small for a diss track, but something over 10 minutes would be too long. Three to four minutes should be enough time to get all of your roasts off of your chest
6.Have passion in the track: If it’s not personal, it’s not gonna connect with the person or thing that you’re dissing, and the audience won’t feel how important the track truly is.
7.Make sure that it’s too good: You might want to start a diss track war, but if you truly want the track to get popular, you need to make sure that it’s almost too good to actually reply to. So it’ll be hard for whatever you’re dissing to make a quick comeback, meaning when they DO drop a response, yours will be seen as the better diss track.
8.Feel good: If you don’t think that your track will be good, it won’t be. Just have faith in your writing skills. Also, if you don’t feel like your diss track is good enough, fix it until you think it’s perfect.
9.Just do it: If you don’t release it, someone else will get the spotlight and you don’t want that.
10. Diss, nothing else to be said
