ROYALTY (MAN MADE OF LIES)
[Verse 1]
Listen up, this a story 'bout royalty
A man that always snooped, like the D O double G
He was on quest to find a gold something
But that never was really who he wanted to be
In the hot summer sun, he would waste away
In the cold winter winds he would freeze and decay
He never found a home where he could rest and lay
So he always kept the search on everyday
Slowly dying in the struggle, he was nearly gone
The search had become his life, and all of this for what
He had given up now, so he crawled into a rut
And awaited death, this was the end, but
He saw a light through the dark
A diamond in the rough
He had thought he was finished but he could barley keep it up
The hope turned into fire, and his soul became ash
The final piece had become the thing that he saw last
The devil arose and said "look at what you've become
You should have bailed when you even had the chance to run
I've come to collect your sins, and take you from above
You had everything in the world but you couldn't get enough"
The man said he was wrong, that he had the wrong soul
But he plucked him from life and threw him into the bowl
Never to see the light of day again
He was doomed to pay for something that he never could've dreamt
[Instrumental]
[Verse 2]
The king looked down at his feet, and let out a sigh
He had let the devil take another person to die
He didn't know how much longer he could avoid his debt
But he never dared go outside his safety net
In the world down under, there was a moment of truth
How could all these men suffer for something so soon?
The devil flew into the world like a red balloon
And waited til the night of the blood moon
He prowled on the king, with rage in his eyes
A man made of hope was a man made of lies
He finally saw through his wicked disguise
And confronted him so they were staring eye to eye
The king begged for mercy but the devil didn't take
And he watched him burn for his sins at the stake
This had proven that nobody can trust anyone
And we're cursed to be alone until we're done
The king begged for mercy but the devil didn't take
And he watched him burn for his sins at the stake
This had proven that nobody can trust anyone
And we're cursed to be alone until we're done
