Living my life in a tighter space
Skin to cold no fireplace
Ride away...wishing I could fly away
Better times means lighter days
My heart broken, depths of an ocean
Wake up every morning and i think to myself
Where did all the good people go
The ones who go to church on Sunday
Got down on both knees just to pray
Beg god to forgive their sins
Now we’re praying for better days
Days with no more pain
Jobs with better pay
I’m just reminiscing on the good old days
Back when kids didn’t have to die
Mothers don’t have to cry
I swear i feel like i always gotta fight just to survive
I’m feeling so deprived
Can barely sleep at night
I’m just reminiscing on the good old days
Back to when we didn’t have to worry
And your life didn’t have to be so blurry
Look at the past
Rewind back in time
Back to 1965 were boys and girls were able to play in peace
Now it's 2019 all we see on tv is rape
People killing each other everyday
Going out of there way just to make someone's good day bad
Living my life in a tighter space
Skin to cold no fireplace
Ride away...wishing I could fly away
Better times means lighter days
My heart broken, depths of an ocean
I don’t understand what's going through your mind
That makes this okay
Our planet is starting to decay
People don’t seem to care
Yeah I'm talking about global warming
Stand around like the government’s gonna make the change
We’re the people who need to change
And I'm sick of all this
If we don’t take a stand for something
We’ll fall for anything
Everyday it's getting worse and worse
Might as well burry everyone in the dirt
This country's got a huge problem with shootings
Look back to when school shootings weren’t a thing
I only care about the lives screw the politics
They only looking to get paid
But just imagine if only that were there kid
Treating everyone in this country like unknowns
Only maybe then would they understand all this anger
I don’t want my kids being scared to go to school
Look at all the cops killing people
And people killing cops
Back to the days were you didn’t have to worry about people with a gun
There’s no reason to blame just one
It’s not just the shooter nor is it the gun
It’s quite clear its the mental health
Hopefully one day we can see change
And you can start with yourself
