My EwokABdevito Story + Becoming An Editor
My EwokABdevito StoryPart One:So my first interaction with Ewok was on January 7, 2019. He sent me the basic editorship message:

Hey you’ve got a great foundation annotating. With a little more polish you could probably become an editor. Check out our guidelines to see what we’re looking for:
How Genius Works
And hit me up if you’re interested in becoming an editor! Part Two:I responded with:

Is there anything required that I do as an editor? If so, it would be best that I wasn’t an editor, since I’ll forget. But if not, sure, it would be cool to be an editor.

He then mentored me for the next month and a half, giving me support and constructive criticism. Part Three:The last annotation I sent to him was a cover art annotation.

He responded with:

While this isn’t bad at all, it is a bit interpretive. He could have a lot of different meanings behind it. Can I see something that incorporates a little bit of research? Part Four:Soon after I sent Ewok my last message to him, his staff role was terminated.

I made an annotation on the "Why Ewok Matters To You" page expressing my sadness for him. Becoming an EditorI reached out to @Pessoa after a while, and then they helped me become an editor for a few days before I started being mentored by @sitzpinkler.

As you can probably guess, I was not made an editor by Ewok. I was made an editor by @sitzpinkler. The End
