Lady Toe Tappers
Let's confuse the neighbors we're just too busy to mow
Watching from the basement the yard grows out of control
And it keeps getting taller and taller
It's nature's cruelest carpet
And it grows and it grows
What the weeds and grass don't know
That we're inside tapping toes with a grin
Putting off giving that garden a trim
But the shame bell that they're ringing
Keeps us in time dancing and singing
And life's too short so let's dance another ditty
Hold me close while we're fined by the city
We're terrible, terrible neighbors
But we're talented lady toe tappers
Another salad for dinner 'cause we're calorie counting
But it's tater tots and dippers we need constant reward
No sign of leaner times
We attempted but we get so bored
We try and we try
Truth is that's a lie
We strive with good intentions snacking though interventions
It's not our faulty we just love the salty
