I’m So Hungry
[Intro]
Assalamu 'alaykum
See I ain’t made a spoken word in time
So I thought why not now?
In this blessed month of Ramadan

[Verse]
See it's that time of year again
I can't eat when the clock strikes sunrise on Big Ben
Starve for a whole day while my belly is rumbling
My belly’s in pain and I can hear this buzzing
It's like my whole life is falling apart
Cause I struggle for 20 hours just to starve
I'm so hungry, my belly is rumbling
And fam I'm telling you I'm just struggling
But you see the difference between you and me
There isn't one
But for the poor person, the struggle is a greater one
We know we are eventually going to eat
But the poor are so hungry
So hungry, they struggle to stand on their own feet
Yet we take it for granted
The food that's laid on our table
It's like in this world we feel stranded
Cause fasting so long, feels tough so we complain that we’re unable
Even though it shows you how it feels to be poor
The poor have hardly any food so they live on the cold floor
That’s what it's like to be poor, maybe even worse
Trust me we have it sweet like dessert
Yet we complain we’re hungry
It's ramadan bro, so please don't get angry
This month is where we learn self control
Become better people, understand what this universe holds
See life is more than what you make it
When Ramadan comes you gotta create it, destiny
In the sense you probably had an epiphany
While you were sitting there with your belly rumbling
With food on your mind asking why you gotta starve to understand what the less fortunate have
Have you complained and complained that I'm so hungry, and why can’t anyone hear me
And at this moment you have understood
Understood what you have taken for granted
Now it's just time to read The Book, the Noble Qur'an
That Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has sent down
[Outro]
Peace
