Yank! Company
Opening Speech
[NARRATOR]
A few weeks back I found an old, old diary at a junk shop.
It's, uh, let’s see. It's a small book, some pages are torn, some of the handwriting's blurry but it’s generally in good shape.
It's the wartime journal of one Private Stuart who, as it happened, spent World War Two working for a magazine: Yank! The magazine by the servicemen, for the servicemen.
On the opening page of the journal, in very neat handwriting:
'No matter what I do, I keep remembering you'
Cryptic, right? And kinda corny so I looked it up. and it's from a song.
Oh, I bought it on iTunes.
