JAY-Z
Jay Z To Launch His Own Range of Leather Backpacks and More
Jay-Z has partnered with Barneys in New York to create a line of limited edition products inspired by the city.

The rapper, who released his latest album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' earlier this year, will work with fashion houses including Balenciaga, Rick Owens, Lanvin and more on the products, which will be named "A New York Holiday". Pitchfork reports the line, "includes blankets, leather backpacks, raincoats, and rings" all of which will be either all black, white, gold or silver.

The partnership will see Jay Z design an"interactive holiday installation" in the windows of Barneys' Madison Avenue store. All of the New York Holiday products will be showcased and sold in the BNY SCC Gallery, so named after Barneys New York and Sean Corey Carter, from November 20. A quarter of the proceeds made from the products will be donated to the Shawn Carter Foundation.

Jay Z was recently named on Forbes' list of hip-hop's biggest moneymakers in 2013, a list topped by Diddy. The artist formerly known as 'P Diddy' came out on top of the Cash Kings list of the highest-paid stars in hip-hop after raking in an estimated $50 million (£31.2 million) over the course of the past year. Jay-Z was second in the list, with reported earnings of $43 million (£26.9 million), while Dr Dre was third with $40 million (£25 million).
