I'm on my own now
Lost in the monotony of my life
With no hope for an escape that I’m worried
What the future holds in store for me
I often remember
The little things my Dad and dear Mom used to say to me
That nothing in this life lasts forever, not even our miseries
So I wait here
Alone amidst a crowd but hoping against hope
Still, the doubt persists, "will the dawn ever break in my world?"
