UFC 196: Nate Diaz Octagon Interview
[Joe Rogan]
Nate Diaz, you just shook up the world
How does that feel?

[Nate Diaz]
Ay, I'm not surprised motherfuckers

[Joe Rogan]
This is a fight you asked for after you beat Michael Johnson, you got it
Was there anything-
Coming into this fight you only had less than 2 weeks notice
Was there anything that you didn't expect that happened here tonight?

[Nate Diaz]
Uh no, I knew it was gonna be a slow start for me because you know
I'm always in shape but, uh-
If I'm not in the best shape I gotta start slow and pickup as I go
So I kinda expected it to go like it did
I expected to dodge n' slip a little more
I didn't have a lot of sparring for this camp like, like if I had a full camp I don't think I would've been touched
But he had some good punches and he landed them so good on his part

[Joe Rogan]
So going into the round, this final round you caught him with one shot and you saw him buckle
What did you think then?
[Nate Diaz]
I just knew, like I said I knew I was gonna start off slow and as soon as I got warmed up I could tell it was gonna start to turn around
It was going to and it happened a little earlier than I expected

[Joe Rogan]
Nate, this was a spectacular victory, even more spectacular given the fact you didn't even have a training camp for this
Congratulations sir, enjoy it

[Nate Diaz]
Yeah, I'm a athlete, a warrior
We should already be- always be ready to fight everybody on our worst day
Hey, I wanna give a shoutout to my brother Nick Diaz, the man, the main man
There's a new king of this motherfucker now and it's right here alright
Gilbert Milendez, Kron Gracie, my boy Chris Avila, Jake Shields, Richard Perez, my team, thank you very much
Thank you UFC, Dana, Lorenzo
Aye, and right on Conor McGregor for uh- taking the fight too on short notice
We got it done

[Joe Rogan]
Nate Diaz, thank you for being awesome
