blazifyy: i’m doing well! how have things been going for you on genius right now?

emikael: i'm having a pretty good time with genius right now despite the lack of support from staff. for the first time in a while, i'm enjoying writing tates, which is the whole reason I liked genius so much to begin with. i also just promoted my fourth mentee to editor!

blazifyy: yeah, working with everything going on right now in the community can be challenging. what brought you to genius? was there something specific that drew you to the website?

emikael: i’ve used genius to learn lyrics and meanings ever since i started listening to rap in english, so when i got a computer two years ago I figured why not sign up? it took a while until i started contributing, and even longer until i got involved with the community. but i'm glad i eventually did

blazifyy: i know you have done a ton of work on the swedish side of genius, how is all of that going?

emikael: it's going really well! it's very rewarding to see the progress we've made. my two favorite improvements in the community so far are probably the release calendars and the moderation of swedish hip-hop on the site---a genre that had zero active eds working in it a year ago.

blazifyy: do you have a favorite project you've done on-site?

emikael: not sure if it counts as a project but i often work on pouya's unreleased music & i really enjoy that

blazifyy: i would say it does, it takes a lot of time and effort. do you have any goals that you want to achieve on genius?

emikael: honestly nah, i'm satisfied with where i’m at right now. maybe i wanna write an article one day but we’ll see

blazifyy: do you have a dream music collaboration?
