Isabelle Hammonds: What was your first contribution on Genius?

Collin Scribner: my first ever contribution was a pyong on J. Cole’s “Middle Child but if we are talking about like stuff that actually matters, then it was my most proud annotation on SAINT JHN’s "High School Reunion, Prom”

Isabelle Hammonds: Oooh, I’ll have to check that tate out then. I don’t think I’ve seen it.

Isabelle Hammonds: Took you an hour too long lol

Isabelle Hammonds: Why did you decide to join Genius?

Collin Scribner: I decided to join genius because music is one of two of my favorite things that interest me, I just feel like I know a lot about music (at least rap anyways) but just because music and knowing lyrics is one of my hobbies. but fun fact is that I came here at first in April 2019 on my birthday because of a school project in 8th grade.

Isabelle Hammonds: Oooh, that sounds awesome. Mine’s a lot more boring, tbh. But anyway… Next question. What or who caused you to enjoy the music that you do?

Collin Scribner: So when my older brother got his license, me and him would always just drive anywhere and listen to music and whatever song I thought was decent I would be like, “yo whats this song called” and he would tell me, then when i would get home, I would add it to my playlist and eventually I was just so interested i was always showing him the songs and yeah. Now we alternate cars between mine and his. So we made it like a competition and I just liked it even tho we stopped the competition on who can show more songs to who.

Isabelle Hammonds: I didn't see Juice WRLD on there until I read through it a second time and I was about to freak tf out. Juice was a G, ngl (RIP). I used to listen to his "Death Race For Love" album on repeat on the daily. It's sooooo good. While we're on the topic, favorite Juice song? Solo AND collab.

Collin Scribner: Okay favorite juice song feature, is probably on DJ Scheme’s new album “Family” Deluxe and Juice sings “Buck 50”. and for single there is a couple, Fast(Death Race for Love), Syphillis(Death Race for Love), Blood on my Jeans(Legends Never Die), and All Girls are the Same(Goodbye and Good Riddance) but there are a lot of my favorites, that is if I have to choose

Isabelle Hammonds: Oooh, I've never heard most of those, tbh. I've heard "All Girls Are The Same". And that's about it.

Isabelle Hammonds: Favorite concert you've been to?

Collin Scribner: hype was when juice wrld and ski mask the slump god performed and played “take a step back” as a tribute to XXXTENTACION. but best one as in most popular or best performance was the first “AstroDrip” concert with travis scott, gunna and sheck wes. like there was a mf roller coaster on the stage

Isabelle Hammonds: Omggg, I’m so mf jealous. That’s awesome.

Collin Scribner: It was a crazy experience, and the fact that I got to go to two juice wrld concerts and two travis scott concerts are amazing

Isabelle Hammonds: I'm so jealous, I've never been to a concert, smh.

Collin Scribner: Definitely worth the price.

Isabelle Hammonds: While we're on the topic, least favorite concert?

Collin Scribner: Probably the virtual concert of Machine Gun Kelly for “Tickets to my Downfall” but if we are talking in person, probably first post malone concert, the only reason this is it is because the second post malone concert I went to was where he introduced Tyla Yaweh and it was amazing, and another to my favorites was also Denzel Curry because Ta1300 was his best album by far and I got to see it performed live.

Isabelle Hammonds: You've been to a Post Malone concert too?!? Wtaf.
Collin Scribner: Two of them, i've been to 2 travis scott, 2 juice wrld, and 2 post malone

Isabelle Hammonds: Bruh. What's your favorite thing about Genius?

Collin Scribner: Favorite thing about Genius, is that there are A LOT of people of the same interest(music) and just everything is on it. and that it is one of the only things not blocked at school

Isabelle Hammonds: For realllll, I'm surprised that it's not blocked lol.

Isabelle Hammonds: Alr last one. What are your hopes for the future? Either on Genius or in general. Or both.

Collin Scribner: on genius- probably reach at least 100,000 iq someday or become someone in a high place like become an important person on genius.
in general- when I graduate hs, then I’m going into military(I’ve gone to military camps and training stuff that lasted all summer for three years straight and going again this year, and either make a career out of it or go in and retire after 8 or so years and get a military contracting job on a base or go into construction.)
-or another option is steamfitter for the union
