Time (Interlude)
Time is my darkest, evil enemy
It comes in many shapes and sizes
Hours, days, months, years
When I'm at the edge of my seat impatiently waiting for the bell to ring
Time is resistant
During spring break, when I'm striving for a long relaxing hiatus
Time is a slippery slope
Two people, encapsulated with one another
Time quickly dissolves into the bloodstream
When it's just me and her, time tranforms hours into seconds
Time is not very cooperative
When a good bye is anticipated, time is there to make it inevitable
Why time, why?
Sometimes you can just be so inconvenient
However, time is there for me when no one else is
When I'm hurt physically or emotionally
Time lays smooth mortar over my rugged foundation
Time is responsible for growth of all kinds
Foilage, friendship, faith
So while time and I don't get along
Time still makes the world go round
