[Skit]

A&R: Hey, uh is this Wale?
Wale: Who's this?
A&R: Hey this is an A&R from Cliché Records, I don't know if you remember we spoke last summer
Wale: Oh yeah I remember you (Fake-Fake Records-Records)
A&R: Yeah well I've just been checking up on you recently, doing my research you know like a good A&R does from his desk in the office, yeah and I see that you're still unsigned
Wale: Uh yeah something like that
A&R: Yeah well I just wanted to tell you a little bit about Cliché Records. Umm we've still got a lot of really good projects going on over here, and um we have some new trends that we're really hopping on. You know we have this one new song that was written um but nobody's recorded it yet, it's called uh
'Crank Dat Flying Squirrel'
Wale: Oh um word? How does it go? Do you-
A&R: It's called uh- it's just called 'Crank Dat Flying Squirrel'
Wale: Oh uh Crank That- Crank That Flying-
A&R: N-Not 'That' it's 'Dat'. Like D-A-T
Wale: Oh okay, I gotcha
A&R: And um it's just a new dance, I don't know if you've ever seen a flying squirrel go from tree to tree but it's quite an amazing thing to watch and when we get a bunch of little teenage black kids doing uh YouTube videos over this, it's quite a phenomenon i must say
Wale: Well I mean, you know the homeboy Soulja Boy did 'Crank That' you know Soulja Boy and that was the stuff and I don't really wanna copy him. That's not really my angle that I'm tryna you know
A&R: Yeah but he was talking about Supermanning that hoe, we're really talking about Flying Squirrelling that hoe. It's kind of like a more next level thing that involves a lot more interactivity between the listener and the song
Wale: Um I feel you, I mean. I'm not really interested at this point you know what I'm saying but I appreciate y-
A&R: Okay Okay, look I don't mean to interrupt you Wale but we had this other new- this other new trend that we're working on
Wale: For real?
A&R: That we sample- we sample like dance songs like I think they you know call them rave, they call it rave rap. It's sort of a new genre
Wale: I'm not- I ain't really familiar with that
A&R: Well a lot of club kids like it, a lot of like the hipsters, the hopsters I think is the what the- proper name culture these days
You know we'll take like an old dance song and we'll reinterpret it for a hip-hop audience. We're about to take Darude - Sandstorm and turn it into a wicked club banger
Wale: Nah I ain't really- I'm not really feeling this
A&R: Da-nah-nah-nah-nah-nah Untz-Untz
Da-nah-nah-nah-nah-nah
Da-nah-nah-nah-nah-nah
Na-nah-nah-nah-nah-nah Untz-Untz
It's that Untz Untz, the kids love that these days the Untz Untz
Wale: Umm maybe you should just call my manager, I gotta go man. I gotta go
A&R: Da-nah-nah-nah-nah-nah
Wale: I gotta go
