Freedom for Them All
Oh animal rights activist, standing there
With your sign and your megaphone
Oh valiant vegan warrior I know you’d rather be
In the comfort of your home

But you never give up and you never give in
Because until all traps and cages are empty
You know you can’t yet call it a win
Their pleading eyes are seared into your heart
And you keep standing tall
And you fight back the tears wishing that in this lifetime
There could be freedom for them all

Oh sentient being defender, you keep organizing
And mobilizing and showing up to protest
In front of the meat section or any other death store
As carnists look on and mock you in detest

But you never give up and you never give in
Because until all traps and cages are empty
You know you can’t yet call it a win
Their pleading eyes are seared into your heart
And you keep standing tall
And you fight back the tears wishing that in this lifetime
There could be freedom for them all

Police intimidate and try to induce fear
But you remain peaceful as you scream the truth
The animals need everyone to hear

Their fur! Their eggs! Their milk! Their bodies!
Their lives! Set the animals free!
Their fur! Their eggs! Their milk! Their bodies!
Their lives! Set the animals free!

But you never give up and you never give in
Because until all traps and cages are empty
You know you can’t yet call it a win
Their pleading eyes are seared into your heart
And you keep standing tall
And you fight back the tears wishing that in this lifetime
There could be freedom for them all
