Quinzequinze
Pa’iPa’i
Last night in the mountain a hundred voices whispered, floating in the wind, words that I’ve never heard before
It wasn’t a simple earthquake yesterday morning
I’m afraid they lied about everything
The seeds in the field are special
This plant over there aren’t like the others
I think I just saw a boy emerging from the ground

Were they born here?
Grew up in the soil?
Raised in the darkness
Waiting?
Were they born here?
Grew up in the soil?
Raised in the darkness
Waiting?

A cloud, a rain, a cloud, a rain
A cloud, a rain in my zone...
Many many roads but which way do I go now?
I saw the sun, deep, deep in the soil
And a rose, rose, rose

Raised with the others
Following the road
Going to the cliff
To be eaten by the eels
I’m not like the others
Jumping in a hole
Fighting in their wars
Fulfilling their goal
Man now dance
Foot is a root
Arm a branch
Soul is a fruit

Were we born here?
Grew up in the soil?
Raised in the darkness
Waiting?
Were we born here?
Grew up in the soil?
Raised in the darkness
Waiting?

Waiting for a cloud a rain is all
I do while I’m hanging in my zone
Among the stones a plant a loner
And the rocks around me built a wall

Dig my head above the earth
Spit the dirt out of my mouth
Sweep the dust out of my sight
Had a vision: my homicide
In pollution, by pollution
With pollution, air is wicked
Then I close my eyes and I see
Illusions in illusions
And with confusion open them
Head spinning up and down
In the mud in open air
Take a whiff of cyanide
Head spinning left and right
I don’t know where to go
It’s giving me the vertigo
