YCK
From Sovereign Heights
Thinking about my life I'm looking right back and I reminisce
Of all the things that had took my time and I think I'll be regretting this
The most I put my effort just to feel that eternal bliss
And I can make a promise that you'll be the person that I miss

Made my way to work I'm making that phony conversation
I've been lying right through my teeth and I got no hint of oxidation
I was never in for the interest never once had caught my eye
Then invite me over twice but I don't ever want to stop inside

Building up a wall so I'm spacing out from my emotions
Cause I don't know any better I'vе just been drinking down this potion
Sticks and stones into my bones and names will nеver hurt me
If I'm feeling kinda lucky I might just think I'll live to thirty

Wrote this song cause it goes out to Mrs. What's Her Name
And every day we just sit and wonder where you ended up today
And even though we haven't spoke it's been a couple lonely years
I feel your spirit right beside me, I can feel you're present near

Oh I'm looking down from sovereign heights
You've been seeing through impoverished eyes
So you said forget it thinking twice
Long as we both live beneath the sky

So the tale continued waking up and doing the same old thing
It's like a pendulum I'm sitting back and watching it swing
From the side to the side this birdy's got a broken wing
It's been outside there since the morning now the cut won't stop it's sting
Walking on these grounds it's like familiar territory
Cause the moments never fade and they comprise a million stories
Everything is coming back I'm living on the nostalgia
Even though I do remember it don't ever feel the same without ya

Had a couple dreams and seemed every one was picture perfect
Now I wonder where they went they disappeared like was it worth it
Burning on for years it finally ended with a drip
Of the wax on the side the moment we blew the wick

Smoke had filled the room the papers matching every door
The loss of oxygen inside had made the apple rot the core
Promise it stayed and everywhere I smelled the burns
And every time I look around it follows all of my turns

Oh I'm looking down from sovereign heights
You've been seeing through impoverished eyes
So you said forget it thinking twice
Long as we both live beneath the sky
