Cholo’s Testament
[Spoken Words: Lamont Kellum]
I'm askin' my struggles like, what would I be without you?
What would the beauty in me mean without the ugly truths?
Facin' up as much as I can, escapin' all the downs I've been through
Racin' towards the light at the end of the tunnel
It's ironic to enjoy the stars and the moon, bein' surrounded in darkness
Then embracing the sunrise with a smile, I sometimes part with
But it all coexists
Like the once sinner becomin' a saint, nobody's perfect
Takin' the good with the bad, 'cause growth is worth it
I put fear in the back of my mind, takin' my faith full forcе on this ride
They've always said thе limits are the sky
But for so long I never understood why?
Maybe because it doesn't end, and I'm limitless
Go as far as you can until you stop breathin' and complement it with what you end up with
It's a pleasure to overcome pain
When passion moves you forward its strengthenin'
And in this life, you're the centerpiece
Of the forces that collide with your Sinnergy
