The Tower of Cosmic Nihility
The spirits are bound
In a portrait of mind
Arrested ebb and flow
And the story so far
The loss of style and form
Shapes distort, patterns dissolve
All rage and elation pushed towards then off the edge
I believe in solace
I accept meaninglessness
I believe in blindness
And I embrace the emptiness
The tower of cosmic nihility
The farseeing eye that reveals
We may wander
Lost in its light
The cosmic horror empowers me
An escape from my need to believe
I stare into the vast cold void to conquer
The silvery light, the prospect of attaining
Of returning
Eludes the feeble grasp of hope
This dour and slavish pace
Through infinite bewildering starry mists
And blackness that lifts the burden of will off our hands
