Gravity
[Verse 1]
I'm charging all this energy
To make the jump hyperspace
It's all a distant memory
Status numb to database
Feelings lost and feelings found
At least I don't feel out of place
I use the sounds to surround around my substance just in case
I leave the ground in spirit
According to some plans I made
Intrusive thought, I fear it may overcome my force someday
Until I force it down into the depths I make
Ensuring that I save my life
The skies always seemed so inviting

[Verse 2]
This new day becomes a treasure held
But briefly like the sands of time
And only as briefly told by a human clock made by a human mind
Zoom into the seconds, take view of the essence
We only exist in the present
Expressing pleasure though the self is the protagonist in agony
Which explains reactions with fists
So I'm sad to see us disagree on petty, unfulfilling fits of friction
Fishing for official recognition
I'm wishing that these systems set by citizens weren't built on fiction

[Verse 3]
So listen
Not to me, but those whose lives you touch
You're not meant to judge, you weren't meant to fly
And I dreamt of death too much
To not try to change some circumstances
Take chances to advance the masses through this aftermath
Be patient as we trudge
Be gracious you have blood that keeps you coursing, emanating love
Elevate above the obstacles scattered in your path
Don't forget that some of which were removed by emissaries now in cemetery soil
Buried in the past

[Verse 4]
And definitely don't forget that some have more hurdles to overcome than you
And trying harder they need a helping hand for these trials they may face that you didn't have to breakthrough
By some virtue of your birth
Neither burden nor a curse
Your privilege shows in all the things you do
So watch your step and watch your words
You might hurt those who have it worse
So immerse yourself in the intensity that is this mess of life
And know the only thing that keeps us grounded is our propensity for flight

[Verse 5]
So I'm charging all this energy
Before I make the jump to hyperspace
And if you isolate my afterburners
I won't escape this earthly fate
This song I wrote in a single day
But I was built to by the environment my universe creates
Unduplicatable, yet relatable, in the simplest of ways
When I look in the mirror, will I see my own face?
When I look in the mirror, will I see my own face?
