Wanderings
If I record my wanderings
From city to sea
From my recollection of daybreak
To night's familiar gleam
From the avenues
From me to you
And all points in between
If I record my wanderings
Will it justify my means?

I sit and I wait
Looking for a fate
To wear, like the cross
That dangles from my mother's neck
I run and I hide
From the grain of time
All the while
Wandering like the sea

So I cast my gaze on waters
Whose subtle change of color
Proves harmony
Between the quake of change and the song of nature
What does your ebb prove
When the undertow pulls the past through
And the seafoam like the white mist of my soul
Keeps wandering on
Keeps wandering on
Keeps wandering on familiar shores
