Petru Gherasim
Granite Statue
I am the river, you are the rock
I am the pain, you are the pleasure
I see in you only qualities
You see me full of flaws
The moon is not your sun anymore
Cause I'm afraid to leave it in your hands
You see it red, though it's white
And the blood that flows from me doesn't exist for you now
What a cold granite statue you've become
I get cold just looking at your fearful face
Now I'm not afraid, but I tremble if you speak to me
When my sky no longer holds your clouds
You'll destroy it, you'll tear it down
Nothing flows by itself
And the moments that come, thеy don't reach us tomorrow
I'm the idea, you'rе the thought
I even see the rain, you only see the wind
I've got a heart, spoiled by the sun
You don't have it, I painted it for you by some sea
And my eyelashes don't throw sleep into my mind
And your shoulders don't hold me though I'm good
My dreams run through the corridor
But I wake up and you're not
My dreams then die
