Universe Narrows
Guy
(Verse)
He was the star for lots of years of the downtown London Zoo
Munching his lettuce and snapping his beans
Trying his best to look real mean
He would charge those iron bars
He’d beat his chest and he’d stare you down
But he was sort of a clown, a really nice guy

(Verse)
He got his name from another Guy, who was trying to blow up the king
But he got caught and they strung him up
He went away, but still got a holiday
And it was on this holiday, that our Guy came to live
With the alligators and the one eyed snake, in Regent’s Park
Well he was just a kid, but he was drawing them in

(Chorus)
He was a star, you could find where he was anytime of the day
By where the crowds are
He was a star, and they would come from near and far
Just to see him be him for a day

(Verse)
He grew up to be real big, and more and more of them came to see
But even with all kinds of people around he was all alone
So one day the word went out, that Guy he needed a wife
And after much waiting, in a couple of years
They found him one, an introduction was done
(Bridge)
At first it seemed to go real well, and they would hold hands through her cage
But unfortunately, well, it didn’t work out
Cause he had been alone, from just too young an age

(Verse)
It may seem unfair that all the happiness there, that came from his being around
Could never find it’s way back to him
But he had millions of fans, and how they loved him so, and everybody knows

(Chorus)
He was a star, you could find where he was anytime of the day
By where the crowds are
He was a star, and they would come from near and far
Just to see him be him for a day
He was a star, you could find where he was anytime of the day
By where the crowds are
He was a star, and they would come from near and far
Just to see him be him for a day
