St. Meave
Angel’s Can Fly
There are oceans in your eyes
And I'm not surprised
It's from all the pain you desperately try to hide
You don't think you can last another day
All you want is the pain to wash away
you never wanted me to know
As it would jeopardise the vision of your manliness
I see through that madness
It's okay to be hurt its okay to not feel right
It's okay if you don't want to fight
It's going to be alright
One day you will spread your wings and fly
You tell me "but angles can fly"
It's something you wanted to try
You wanted to see if you could fly
But you're still alive
Why would you try knowing the risk would cause you to die
You tell me you wish you were dead
Then what's the reason fore why you're still here
You were obsessed with your wings
The wings that you haven't grown yet
You yell you're an angel
But you can't leave the floor
You can't pull yourself up because it's not you're time
No matter the weather, you will still shine
Your hope radiates off of you
You're a soldier, a medal won't validate your bravery
After the harshest storms you still stand tall
Even if you wanted to fall
You're an angel
But as you lay on your deathbed
you whisper in my ear
"I wish I was dead"
