Ill - poem
I feel like I'm bathing in menthol
My body is burning with chills
My lungs have been stuffed with Brillo
You could say that I’m ill.

My sneeze is the virus laughing
As it joyfully rips up my cells
So I blow my nose with sandpaper
And watch my tonsils swell.

I'll flick the switch on the kettle
Drop a tea bag and honey in a cup
Pour the water, squeeze lemon, add squash
And fill it to the top with the tap

I'll sit in a hot soup of strawberry
And wait for my body to unthaw
I’ll climb into my marshmallow
And watch something I've probably seen before
