Garden Of The Heart
Evening in the garden
All the robins hiding
Sometimes younger lilies sway
As if to say “I'm trying.”
Oh all of the wretched
Goes back to the start
Sun nearly setting
On the garden of the heart
Even at the dawning day
The world too shy to speak my name
Knowing what to cast my way
But stubborn in its aim
Oh all of the singin’
Too far apart
Quietly listening
In the garden of the heart
Sometimes it is mightier
Rugged and unfailing
Than with castles
Taking to the air
I see that it is ailing
Oh all of the mystery
One can't outsmart
Spreads like a briar
Through thе garden of the heart
