Beans On Toast
England, I Love You
On the hottest day in London since records began
In a tale of dirty money and divided opinions
An unelected leader moves into number 10
And the future's looking bleak for England

We've been going round in circles for years and years
Wasting time and money not achieving anything
And now our little island comes crashing out the union
We're going it alone as The Divided Kingdom

A small fish in a big pond with delusions of grandeur
A worrying sense of self-worth and nostalgia for an empire
Built on blood and bones, not on cups of tea
But it's easy to believe what you wanna believe

And somethings got your back up, it's really got your goat
And every time you go online you get pissed off
They're using social media to fiddle with our minds
They're squirrelling away trying to hack our brains

And now he who owns the data owns the world
And it has fallen hostage to a gang of killer clowns
Or maybe it's the Russians, maybe the far right
Always another reason to lose some sleep tonight

Apparently the plan is now to turn in to a tax haven
A place where corporations can do whatever pleases them
To hell with human rights we're gonna lose some regulations
And take even more away from the people that are suffering
