The Stone

Lord, I've been diligent in obeying Your laws

And I've waited in silence, waited for Your applause

But to those who are living lives filled with disgrace

You are kind and forgiving, Shouldn't You turn them away

In my right hand I hold a stone

Scattered around are the rocks that I've thrown

But You said, if there is no sin, then let the throwing begin

But remember the mercy I've shown

Lay down your grudge, oh, and let me be the judge

Take my hand and let go your grip on the stone

So, I let go the stone and watched it fall to the sand

Then my anger was gone when You took hold my hand

In my right hand I held a stone

Scattered around were the rocks that I've thrown
