That is You
Many years, had gone by, since I'd seen bluer skies, the world seemed sad and grey
Living life, day to day, distant memories of old dreams that appeared to fade away
But then one day, so suddenly, I learned to dream again
Now I know, what that was, for a dream to come true, that was love, shining through
Melodies, in my mind, brought me comfort at times, when I was on my own, writing
Songs, with no words, as I started to accept I would live my life alone
And then one day, to my surprise, I learned to dream again
Now I know, what that was, for a dream to come true, that was love, through and through
I thought I'd find my strength in solitude, a strength I'd use to set myself apart
I quickly learned, the realities of isolation and the heart
Every day, every week, every month that went by, I'd play those same old songs
I stood still, in the past, while the world changed all around me and wouldn't sing along
Then you found me, and showed me joy, so I could dream again, now I
Know, how it feels, when my dreams do come tru-ue, that is lo-o-ve, that is you
