Obscure Sphinx
At the Mouth of the Sounding Sea
Despair uplifts me like the sea
Through dark fogs in heaven infinity
I lift my wandering sail
Motionless I sit and dream
Dying I breathe a long and swooning sigh
Carrying the memory in my breast
And when the stone
Upon thy trembling breast
Crushes my will
And keeps the heart at rest
And when cold body whispers the final breath
Anathema chant will hide in it
The sounding sea will become dim
And hides me from
Sweetness of the azure sky
Motionless enfolds me
Deep in his liquid heart
All mortal hopes flown away
When sounding sea becomes
Dim
Dark shapes with gloomy eyes
Meditate over my unrested flesh
Like stranger Gods
They sit and dream
In solemn pose holding hands on my cheeks
Beneath the somber veil
Where gloomy eyes shine red
Where gloomy eyes shine red...
...the reptile hides it's skin
The abyss of the sea will fill up my veins
The heart of sounding sea will beat for me from depths
The mouth of the sounding sea will swallow my despair
