The Other Shoe
I'm sure that it has happened to you
Maybe more than a time or two
You're trying to get ready for school
But you can't find your other shoe
Oh, the other shoe, where could it be?
It hides from you and it hides from me
You've got places to go and things to do
But first, you've got to find your other shoe
You're sure that last night you had a pair
When you kicked your shoes off over by the chair
Now this morning there is only one
Hiding from you is how shoes have fun
Oh, the other shoe, where could it bе?
It hides from you and it hides from me
Your mothеr's downstairs, and she's calling for you
But first, you've got to find your other shoe
Sometimes it's a left and sometimes it's a right
Sometimes it's your socks that run away in the night
You won't be able to do your best
If you can't go to school completely dressed
Oh, the other shoe, where could it be?
It hides from you and it hides from me
You're standing there, you don't what you will do
You just can't find your other shoe
So you look in the closets and you look on the stairs
In all the corners and under your chair
Between your toys, and by your clothes
And there's your shoe right under your nose
Oh, the other shoe, I found you
I'm going to put you on, and then I'll be gone
Tomorrow morning I surely do
Hope that it won't be so hard to find you
