It’s Immaterial
The Gift Of Rain
Sweet journey home
See how the rain falls
Cleansing my soul

I was letting my mind wander
When I crossed the city line
Heading west over town
And almost home
Some of the things that I've seen
From the snow covered ridges that I made a sharp film of
To the harvest in full swing
Yeah it was heavy, I dipped the headlights
It looked like rain

Sweet journey home
There's gonna be a downpour
Sweet moments on the road, oh
Sweet journey home along the northern highways
Sweet memories carry me home

It was around one-thirty when a thought came to mind
Clearing the leaves from the windscreen, I turned for home
So many places I've seen
From the valleys where the fireflies glow
To the golden sands of Indio
The scented air, I closed the window
It looked like rain
