Kingfisher Blue
Kingfisher blue flashes in flight
Only seen through the shafts of light
The fruits of your wood won't tempt her lips
And kingfisher blue she's in love with you
She carries the wood her face hidden by canopy and crown
Of earth and light to brighten her darkest of frown
She walks of the night and we will obey
Before she steals us away and thankfully makes us hide
Kingfisher blue flashes in flight
Only seen through the brightest of light
The running deer won't chase her away
As you sit and wait for springs first summer day
The fruits of your wood won't temp her lips
As kingfisher blue she's in love with you
