Welcome to Starkid Homecoming, what's going on?!

Good evening everybody, oh go on...

Thank you so much, good evening, my dear friends, we're so happy that you guys could be here, happy ten years. My name is Darren Criss, I am one of the original founding knuckle-heads of Starkid. Um, yes this is Starkid Homecoming, it is very much a Homecoming.

[Audience cheers]

I love this energy, yes! Feed me, feed us, 'cause we'll give it back to you tenfold.

[Audience cheers]

So, the name of the show is 'Homecoming' and it very much is a Homecoming for many of the cast members here. We have assembled over forty Starkid cast members from shows throughout the years, which is an incredible number. We have people flying in from their shows on Broadway, people are flying out tomorrow to do their shows in Scotland, we have people coming from all over the place with varying levels of availability and work, and we somehow managed to get that many people to do this crazy show in like, I don't know, a day's worth of rehearsal, in true Starkid format, we are scotch taping this sucker together last minute.

[Audience cheers]

And we're so grateful they could be here, we are missing some names who unfortunately couldn't be with us but we are thinking of them, they are in our hearts and they are as much part of this as the rest of us are. So we miss you, we love you guys.
[Audience cheers]

Um... I also believe this is a homecoming for many of you, a lot of folks are coming together, gathering, that have been, you've created friend groups and communities all over the world to come celebrate this with us. That's so incredible, just let me hear about some of the places, where are you guys all coming from?

[Audience Respond]

Wow! I can't believe you're coming all the way from there, no way! That's so far, how magical! I didn't know you could get here from there, thank you for travelling all that way. I think we all come here because Starkid does mean a whole lot to a lot of us in varying different ways. I know for me, it's a huge point of pride in my life, it's, uh, one of my favourite things about my career and my life, I think it's what started me out, it's what put me on the map, at least before the Galactic League of Extra-terrestrial Exploration started making twisted abominations of everything.

[Audience cheers]

Now, see right there, folks, that was a Starkid reference, so if you didn't get that joke buckle up 'cause this show ain't gon' make any sense.

[Audience laugh]

And that is because this entire show was funded entirely by fans, thank you so much to all of you on Kickstarter.

This is for the die-hards, the followers since day ones, so this show is designed entirely for you, we are here for you and nobody else, so thank you for your support. To throw a bone to the people that may not know what's going on, Starkid is a collective of artists, uh, and, um uh, creators, writers, performers that was started in the University of Michigan, and we- Go blue. And we, put together musical-comedy content and put it on the internet for free, and we have a ton of shows and while I think it'd be fun to do every single show that we've done in the past ten years, I don't think we have the time. So instead we're gonna celebrate the music in a concert, we're gonna celebrate the songs of Starkid in a-

Yeah, it's exciting, get ready for it. By way of some beautiful medleys made just for tonight and also accompanied by this incredible, gorgeous-looking, thirteen-piece orchestra for the first time with Starkid.
