Wisdom
Who am I fooling
Besides myself
She sees straight through me
I wish I could as well
'Cause I long to be worthy
Of this love that we built
So I’m asking for mercy
While I fix myself

I’m begging you please, dear
Give me a moment to gather my thoughts
'Cause I’m tired and I’m lost
But I’m still here right by your side
When the morning unveils
But it still hurts like hell so I’m
Begging God to grant me the strength
To change all that I can
And the wisdom to know what I can’t

She was an anchor
And I’m lost in a sea
Of my fear and my anchor
With a heart I can’t heal
But someday I’ll deserve her
And hold her love like a shield
Against the coldest of winters
And the doubt that bites at my heels

I’m begging you please, dear
Give me a moment to gather my thoughts
'Cause I’m tired and I’m lost
But I’m still here right by your side
When the morning unveils
But it still hurts like hell so I’m
Begging God to grant me the strength
To change all that I can
And the wisdom to know who I am
So if you take my hand
Can we start this all over again
