Finally, I found you
How many years have I spent going around this yard
I've turned over all the stones
I've gone through every piece of dirt
I've searched through heaven and earth
For that missing piece of my chest
The bone that will complete the outline of the image of love
In my dreams, I followed the traces you left behind
And when I opened my eyes, finally, I've found you

Apparently their stories are true

They say, at the same time you find peace

The calming of my inside, the calm
That feels like before our bodies even found each other
Our souls have planned this for a long time
That sometimes, we can't fit inside one chest
Which is why creation split us up
So that some day, once I've gone around enough times
The walls in between us two
These will fall
And finally, once the storm subsides
I will find you and now I found you
Hopefully I didn't make a mistake
Because I have already been a bullet in a slingshot
That was held very tightly and pulled closer
Just to be let go and set free, left to fly into the wind
I don't know where I'll land
But fate brought me to this yard
And I believe that all things happen for a reason
Because I believe in Him
Who holds the slingshot that destroys the giant in my chest
During those times that my arms did not yet have strength
But now, I can say that now I'm ready

I'm ready to gamble again
I'm ready to love again
I'm ready to get out of my boat
Even though many times I've tried and sunk
And drowned in the lies that hope
Is a fantasy that blinds me from the truth
I know the truth is you being here now
In front of me is not something I've done
But finally I have found you
Because, now I'm ready
And my only prayer that I am yelling into the wind is that hopefully you too
