Luke Dick
Walking In The Night
I watched a single promise loosen through the years
I wonder who it was who made it
And just who is standing here

The porch swing and the gable
The fence line and the deed
What once was then a perfect world, now, don't mean anything

I try to find a rock
To which I'll cling
But then the rain'll wash it away until it's sand beneath the sea

So, I make the moon my only guide
Until the stars go out like always
And I go walking in the night

I can wave my flag in anger
Until it's soaked in pride and blood
But you know that every flag unravels, if it's ever seen the sun

I try to find a rock
To which I'll cling
But then the rain'll wash it away until it's sand beneath the sea

So, I make the moon my only guide
Until the stars go out like always
And I go walking in the night
I'm just walking
I just keep walking
I'm just walking in the night
