It feels like forever

That I’ve been locked down

In this shaded room

In the back of my mind

And I look at myself

As if I look into this strangers’ eyes;

I see a veil of lies – wound up inside

As I face the mirror

Trembling hands – buckling knees

My body’s turning down on me
