I Can't Sleep
We scaled mountains we flew to the moon
And yet I can’t sleep
We wish in fountains we swim in lagoons
And yet I can’t sleep
This human race explores space and the sea
And yet somehow still forty winks eludes me
I wish on stars that the sandman will come
And send me to sleep
I whisper many sweet nothings to mars
Or I might weep
I pray to aliens gracing the skies
That they cast a spell so that I close my eyes
We scaled mountains we flew to the moon
And yet I can’t sleep
