Enterprise Earth
We Are Immortal
We have to face the demons that thrive in the shadows of our dying hearts
There's still a part of me alive in this rotting shell
My nerves becoming numb, wandering in the depths of hell
Mutated flesh now bears the face of what I've become
It doesn't matter who I was or what I've become
It doesn't matter in the end
I always did what I had to do to survive in a world of bleakness
Bled dry and left to die
Trusting others was always my weakness
Beneath a blackened sky
All life is consumed in darkness
The weak succumb to death
The birds pick at what's left of their carcass
We all die in the end
Right now we live in this moment
Dormant until our strength is awakened
Together we are immortal
We have strength in numbers
Alone, we'll die in the fallout
We can't do this on our own
Together we are immortal
We did this to ourselves
Scorched bones of slaves lay to waste in the fields of their own affliction
Stretching as far as the eye can see
Radiation sinks into shallow flesh
Reanimating their silhouette
I can still hear them screaming at night when I close my eyes
When I close my eyes
I will gladly die for what I believe in
Put a gun to my head and give me a reason
We did this to ourselves
Scorched bones of slaves lay to waste in the fields of their own affliction
Stretching as far as the eye can see
Radiation sinks into shallow flesh
Reanimating their silhouette
I can still hear them screaming at night when I close my eyes
Arise and be who you were meant to be
There's still a part of me alive in this rotting shell
My nerves becoming numb wandering the depths of hell
Mutated flesh now bears the face of what I've become
It doesn't matter who I was or what I've become
It doesn't matter in the end
