(Verse 1: Danny Lavender)
Look
First things first I wanna applaud the NHS
Saving lives everyday even though they payed less
Than they should be and that’s the thing
Footballers get payed more for scoring a couple goals and for running down the wing
During this whole epidemic
We should give them all the credit
Coz staying inside is one thing but in them hospitals it’s hectic
Coz they still delivering babies and they still caring for the elders
And even though some of them are only working for the shelter
Of there two kids in a flat coz the man of the house ran out
I just wanna say thank you and you’ve made your country proud
Your called the NHS and I know I sound like a weirdo
But we should call you the N-S-H coz you’re our National Superheroes
You’re the reason that we’re all here coz your saving our lives
Our grandparents, our children, our husbands and our wives
We respect you, and we’ll never ever take you for granted
Coz you chose that job out of any other job on the planet
I know there’s nurses out there who are just tryna’ provide
For there kids to survive, and live a normal life
We salute you as a nation
Coz you all have patients
Living your life just so you can help us patients
I write this song for the doctors and nurses
This is straight from the heart when I’m writing these verses
We just give your our support, it’s the least we can do compared to you, I’m fifteen screaming up the key workers
(Chorus: Dave & Ruelle)
I don't know myself
I don't know myself no
I don't know myself
I don't know myself no more
(Verse 2: Danny Lavender)
I don’t know myself just how much you actually mean to us
We’re like parents watching there kids at their footy games shouting keep it up
Coz you’re the ones who’ve been putting in the real work
You’re the ones who been helping us whenever we’re hurt
I’m here now preaching for our national health service
You’re all angels but not even God could have placed you here on purpose
Coz you help all of us youngens, like with all the Uk stabbings
You’re our heroes and without you in this world we wouldn’t manage
Im only a teenager, what could I do?
I could write a couple bars saying thanks for letting us rely on you
And that’s what I’m doing now
No one else in this world could do British people proud
Up the NHS I fucking scream it loud
Coz you’ve been there for my like a parent from when I was a child
So when it turns 8PM and you hear everyone clapping
And when you hear this fifteen year old lad from Crook rapping
It means that we’re trying to say thank you for everything you’ve done
To the doctors and nurses who are fathers and mums
For caring for us aswell as caring for your daughters and sons
I don’t even know just how much we appreciate you
So anyone who’s listening helping out in this time of tragedy
We support you in helping preventthe spread of this catastrophe
We love you dearly that’s a fact that I guarantee
I don’t think I know how you’ve done it in such a fucking harsh reality
(Chorus: Dave & Ruelle)
I don't know myself
I don't know myself no
I don't know myself
I don't know myself no
I don't know myself
I don't know myself no
I don't know myself
I don't know myself no more
